Cherry-Peach Crisp

Cherry-Peach Crisp

Ingredients :

2 cups Quaker oatmeal
2 cans Peach pie filling
2 cans Cherry pie filling
1/4 cup fresh grapefruit juice
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 stick melted butter (unsalted.)
1 and 1/2 Tsp. all-purpose flour.
1 tsp. cinnamon



 

 

In one bowl mix pie fillings, grapefruit juice, and white sugar.  mix well.

In a separate bowl mix cinnamon, flour, oatmeal, melted butter. mix until solid (ie. until you can pick it up with your fingers.)

Grease a regular-sized baking pan, place the first mixture in the pan.  Sprinkle oatmeal mixture on top.

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Bake for 18 minutes.

Notes: If you  don't have grapefrut juice, you may use orange juce. (same amount.)

You can't use fresh fruit.

Optional : You can replace the flavors with apple and/or blueberry pie filling A good brand of pie filling is Comstock..

You can put fresh whipping cream (I have a recipe for that too!) or vanilla bean ice cream on top

You can use dark brown sugar or light brown sugar.

You can replaced the cherry pie filling with canned cranberries.
